Job Description

Expertise you bring 

DevOps Technical Skills:

  • Cloud Native Stack: Strong understanding and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with extensive design and architecture expertise.

  • Automation: Proficient in automation using APIs, CLIs, and SDKs, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement automated solutions.

  • Solution Design: Skilled in designing and implementing optimized solutions that effectively address business needs.

  • Cloud Technologies: Fair understanding of cloud-native technologies or expertise in hybrid cloud environments.

  • Databases: Exposure to the functionality of no-sql and sql databases.

  • Technical Problem Solving: Proven ability to solve complex business problems and ensure efficient and effective scaling solutions.

SRE Technical Skills

  • Service Level Management: Experience with SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to balance reliability and delivery pace.

  • Observability:  Skilled in implementing metrics, logs, and traces using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Automation & Toil Reduction:  Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks and build self-healing systems.

  • Performance & Capacity:  Strong in capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost-effective scaling.

  • Resilience Engineering: Knowledge of chaos testing, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Production Readiness: Conducts readiness reviews, creates runbooks, and supports safe deployment methods.

Leadership and Mentoring:

  • Team Guidance: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding team members on the latest technologies and best practices.

  • Client Engagement: Ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and delivering on client expectations.

  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership that inspires innovation and new ways of engineering within the team and for client solutions.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Customer Satisfaction: Dedication to achieving client satisfaction and enhancing client experiences, with a focus on proactively managing client interactions.

  • Professional Engagement: Active participation in professional engagements to build strong client relationships and support business growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • Relevant Experience: At least 5 years in a DevOps or SRE role, with a proven track record.

  • Cloud Migration Projects: Hands-on experience in migrating projects to cloud environments.

  • Large-Scale Environments: Exposure to managing large-scale environments involving 100k+ users and managing terabytes of data.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (k8s), DevOps practices, GitLab CI/CD, cloud networking, SQL & NoSQL databases, Kafka, and observability (O8s).

  • Configuration Management: Proficiency in at least one configuration management tool (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet).

  • Advanced OS and Networking Knowledge: Deep understanding of operating system-level and networking concepts.

  • Scripting: Proficiency in Linux, Bash, and scripting.

Certifications:

  • Required: Terraform, Kubernetes.

  • Preferred: AWS, GCP, or other cloud certifications.

Industry Experience: 

  • Significant proven experience in DevOps engineering and SRE roles.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Strategic Insight: Capability to support account and engagement strategy development effectively, driving client understanding into actionable technical solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Client-Facing Consulting: At least 5-7 years in a client-facing consulting position.

  • Leadership: Experience leading client-focused consulting, delivery, and/or servicing teams.

  • Cloud and Application Modernization: Consulting experience in cloud and application modernization.
