We're looking for a Senior DevOps engineer that has advance experience with DevOps, AWS, CI/CD tools, and strong Python (and/or Golang) programming (not just scripting) abilities to join our data platform team. You will collaborate with this engineering team to help build and automate systems to deploy and monitor scalable, high-availability systems that are critical to our business.Â
Day to day:
- Design, build, and implement complex multi-region network architecture
- Design scaleable continuous integration systems
- Provide highly scaleable hosting solutions in our microservice infrastructure & environment
- Build internal application and systems for our data platform team
- Build monitoring systems that can handle MILLIONS of users each day
- Create deployment processes to improve our engineering
Requirements:Â
- 5+ years of Software Development or DevOps experience
- Proficient with Python programming & scripting
- Advanced Linux Systems experience
- Understanding of the OSI model
- Strong experience with Docker and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, and/or Swarm)
- Experience with cloud automation tools like Terraform, Cloudformation Templates, or similar
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, CFEngine, Puppet, etc.
- Good knowledge of CI tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, Teamcity, or similar tools
- Familiar with standard security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management
- Working understanding of modern cloud architecture (Virtualization, Databases, message queueing, etc.)
Nice to have skills, but not required:
- Advanced Amazon Web Services (AWS) knowledge (Databases in particular)
- Experience with Amazon Red ShiftÂ
- Experience working with Golang
- Experience building scalable, high performance systems and services
