Job Description:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Network administrator who will be responsible for identification, troubleshooting, resolution, and customer support for all managed networks.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve network operating/hardware system problems.
Comprehensive knowledge of CISCO and Juniper routers and switches Demonstrate network troubleshooting techniques and experience
Manage the Enterprise Network for resource availability
Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting, WAN circuit technologies (T1, DS3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-192) and in monitoring and configuration of crypto equipment; extensive crypto experience may be substituted
Possess comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and applications as they pertain to the network environment and ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures
Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by GDIT Management.
Provide After Action Reports (AARs) for Problem Management resolution and provide work leadership to less-experienced network personnel
Experience with programming and troubleshooting KG-175A and KG-175D encryptors (to include 10Gb encryptors)
Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades, special projects as well as in development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards
Provides advice and training to end-users as well as troubleshoots and resolves complex problems
Job Requirements:
Must have an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
Candidate must have Security+ CE or CCNA Security
5 years of Networking experience is required if a candidate has a bachelor’s degree as well as familiar with the use of Putty, GEM, HPNA, HP NNMi
Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Service Central Ticketing System, and various network monitoring/troubleshooting tools as required
