Job Description: 

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Network administrator who will be responsible for identification, troubleshooting, resolution, and customer support for all managed networks. 

Job Responsibilities: 


  • Responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve network operating/hardware system problems.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of CISCO and Juniper routers and switches Demonstrate network troubleshooting techniques and experience

  • Manage the Enterprise Network for resource availability

  • Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting, WAN circuit technologies (T1, DS3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-192) and in monitoring and configuration of crypto equipment; extensive crypto experience may be substituted

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and applications as they pertain to the network environment and ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures

  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by GDIT Management.

  • Provide After Action Reports (AARs) for Problem Management resolution and provide work leadership to less-experienced network personnel

  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting KG-175A and KG-175D encryptors (to include 10Gb encryptors)

  • Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades, special projects as well as in development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards

  • Provides advice and training to end-users as well as troubleshoots and resolves complex problems



Requirements

Job Requirements: 

  • Must have an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance 

  • Candidate must have Security+ CE or CCNA Security

  • 5 years of Networking experience is required if a candidate has a bachelor’s degree as well as familiar with the use of Putty, GEM, HPNA, HP NNMi

  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Service Central Ticketing System, and various network monitoring/troubleshooting tools as required
