Role Purpose/Summary

ClearSpace is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our hands-on team. This is a broad role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment and is comfortable wearing many hats. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to our users across the organisation, supporting end user devices, troubleshooting our applications, and helping to keep our network and infrastructure running smoothly. Role Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent support to all ClearSpace staff across all locations.
  • Manage user onboarding, offboarding and moving.
  • Support our application stack – Microsoft 365, Entra, Adobe, SolidWorks and other proprietary applications.
  • Build, troubleshoot and support end user devices like Laptops and Mobiles
  • Manage IT assets from creation to distribution and end of life.
  • Create, update and maintain technical documentation for the IT department.
  • Troubleshoot all manner of IT issues, acting as 1st/2nd Line and escalating as required. Managing the IT Ticket life cycle from logging to completion.
  • Provide limited support for network and server infrastructure – Installation, troubleshooting, management, backups etc.
  • Help implement and maintain security tooling, processes and controls, in line with relevant compliance – including monitoring, logging, configuration and patching.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long term solutions.
  • Liaise with suppliers for software renewals and support escalation.
  • Contribute to, and support the delivery of, IT projects.
  • Help build, develop and implement new IT processes to improve efficiency, simplicity and user self-service.



Desired Skills and Experience

Must Have:

  • At least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune etc.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and project execution.
  • Solid, vendor agnostic, troubleshooting skills.
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 as end-user platforms.
  • Good knowledge of Android and IOS for the configuration and support of mobile devices.
  • An understanding of server and network fundamentals.
  • A team player, willing to get stuck in and collaborate wherever is needed
  • Agile, flexible and able to work across geographically distributed teams
  • A great communicator
  • Able to learn, develop, and discover new solutions

 

Nice to Have: 

  • A basic level of use and understanding of Linux
  • Familiarity with compliance standards – ISO, NIST, Cyber Essentials
  • An understanding of security best practices
  • A drive for continuous improvement of systems and services
  • Experience helping to deliver key IT projects or programs
