Position Summary:
Responsible for hands-on leadership, driving the strategic direction, security, and performance of IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless support of business operations for more than 130 locations in the U.S. and Australia.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development:- Recruit, train, mentor and manage high performing IT team. Department team members operate in the U.S. and Australia.
- Set clear performance goals and provide on-going coaching and development.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.
Infrastructure and Operations:
- Design, implement and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address risks and issues.
- Develop and manage the annual IT budget and optimize cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, system changes, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align IT infrastructure initiatives with business goals.
Security and Business Continuity:
- Oversee cybersecurity strategy, including threat detection and prevention, ensuring monitoring operations comply with applicable government regulations and standards.
- Facilitate regular security audits, evaluating systems for vulnerabilities and recommending modifications.
- Develop and provide guidance on acceptable use, incident response and risk management.
- Facilitate IT incident investigations and evaluate and report on response management.
- Develop, implement and test disaster recovery and business continuity protocols.
- Maintain up to date technical knowledge and current knowledge of emerging security threats, technical challenges and developments in system protection and IT security standards.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience in server administration, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in a wide range of technologies, including: o VMWare VSphere/VCenter, VMWare Horizon Suite o Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Meraki Networking, Cisco 9k switches, CISCO UCS o Windows Server (2008, 2012-R2, 2016, 2019), Active Directory, Group Policy o DNS, DHCP o Domain and Certificate Management o Microsoft 365 Suite (Azure, InTune, Autopilot, Exchange) o Apple Business Manager o Microsoft SharePoint, Windows 11 o HPE Alletra SAN, Dell/EMC Powescale NAS o Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell Scripting and Automation o Cohesity and Veeam Backups, Zerto Disaster Recovery
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of IT infrastructure experience.
- 3-5 years in IT security
- 3+ years prior IT leadership or management experience.
- Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to manage U.S. and Australia teams and needs.
- Valid driversβ license required before driving on company business.
Work Environment:
- Office environment with need to access and work in server room, where temperatures can reach 82 degrees Fahrenheit and noise levels can reach 70-79 dBA (A-weighted decibels)
- Use standard office equipment including computers, telephones, photocopiers/printers, scanners, and filing cabinets.
