As a DevOps Engineer, you can manage both the conceptual- and the actual implementation phases of applications which include change-, incident and problem management. You understand and maintain the infra stack where our applications are running on in a MicroFocus Windows environment.

The team

An environment where the most important business payment processes are supported with customized wholesale core banking MicroFocus applications. Together with your colleagues, you will help run this IT landscape for the coming years. The applications will be rebuilt shortly. Working outside of office hours and/or on standby is a required part of keeping the infrastructure up and running. Your work location will be in Amsterdam (Hybrid).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • In the Tribe structure, you are part of an ambitious and driven squad with an Agile approach. You work together with colleagues from other expertise areas and take the initiative to broaden knowledge (inside and outside your expertise) relevant within the Tribe in which you work.
  • You can get all (typical) items of the backlog from 'to do' to 'done'.
  • You take up tasks/activities that contribute to the mission wherever possible, even if it does not fall entirely within your area of expertise.
  • You keep the infra stack up and running by monitoring, patching, and solving security issues.
  • You develop and maintain PowerShell scripts, Azure pipelines, API, scheduling, alerting, and MQ configurations.
  • You support other squads that use the MicroFocus platform for all the infra-related topics.
  • You are familiar with IT Risk processes and experienced in their implementation, administration, and monitoring.
  • You contribute to the development of your squad by actively giving and receiving feedback.
  • As an experienced DevOps Engineer, you support others to be successful.
  • You are responsible for the development of your own professional knowledge, and you apply it. You know where to get that knowledge and you actively ask for help from your IT Chapter Lead in your personal development.

How to succeed

You are the all-round windows and Linux engineer who finds a challenging to manage to Infra platform for important business payment applications.

  • Knowledge of / experience with business payment processes is a plus.
  • You have at least 5 years of recent experience with and knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.

You know/have extensive experience with:

  • Windows Server operating system
  • Linux operating system
  • MQ

Good to have :

  • Administering Virtual Machines on WIN OS/ MS SQL layer
  • PowerShell scripting ability,
  • MS SCCM
  • Have advanced knowledge of creating, modifying, and running Azure Pipelines
  • GIT
  • Solve vulnerability issues from GSOC reports.
  • Technical State Compliance Monitoring, solving TSCM issues.
  • Agile Mindset - ability to learn new things fast and adapt to changing requirements,
  • Understand how your application fits into the entire chain of which it is part.
  • You have experience working within an Agile organization.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language, verbally and in writing.
