As a Boiler/HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining boiler systems and associated equipment, repairing or replacing malfunctioning components, enforcing and following safety protocols, and building and maintaining solid relationships with our customers.
- Perform routine boiler, pump & chiller preventative maintenance program.
- Conduct analysis of proprietary TEAL operating systems, electrical systems, and Raypak controls.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and adjust static, dynamic, and manifold natural gas/propane pressures.
- Diagnose and inspect chiller systems and their related components (ie: chillers, circulating pumps, VFD Drives, expansion tanks, air separators etc.) identifying necessary repairs or potential failures.
- Perform CO2/NOx combustion analysis on boilers and make corrective adjustments or repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections and make necessary repairs, as needed.
- Clean boiler room and equipment.
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Conduct yearly combustion testing and wet side inspections.
- Trouble shoot high voltage (120V) and low voltage (24) systems.
- Maintain high safety consciousness.
- Work independently and stay motivated while working alone on various projects.
- Deliver high level customer service and maintain professional behavior when dealing with customers and staff.
- Prioritize work and succeed under deadlines while working on various projects.
- Have availability to work flexible hours and on call duty (one week, every 6-8 weeks) and occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Travel out of town, when required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Factory Raypak & Carrier Training preferred
- Journeyman License Plumber a plus
- Understanding of Thermodynamics and Refrigeration Heat Transfer Cycle preferred
- Two to five years’ experience in the Boiler and/or HVAC Service Field
- Ability to meet the Physical Requirements of the job which includes bending, lifting heavy equipment and parts, and working in confined spaces
- Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Maintain Clean Driving Record.
