Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your expertise in both business analysis and project management will be crucial in driving the success of our IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities


Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects from inception to completion. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate these requirements into functional specifications and technical requirements for IT projects in Jira.
  • Manage Development Lifecycle: Plan and oversee iterative cycles of development work, with effective communication and reporting processes in Jira. Ensure technical dependencies are identified and addressed. Plan and coordinate release plan including back-out/rollback plan, staging pilot test, executing full deployment of production release, and release communication to stakeholders.
  •  Coordinate and conduct system testing and validation. Ensure that IT solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Production System Stability: Monitor and manage the stability and performance of production systems, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution of any issues that arise.


Stakeholder Communications

  • Serve as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors. Facilitate effective communication and ensure that stakeholders are informed of project status, changes, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.


Executive Support

  • Provide strategic support to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations to aid in key project decision-making. Prepare and present reports on project status, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Proactively address issues and challenges, ensuring that projects remain on track.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies.


Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT project management and business analysis, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects. Experience in managing production systems and cross-functional teams is essential.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders..
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on achieving business objectives and driving results.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  •  Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs.
Salary Description
$140K-$180K/ YR
