We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mission-critical electrical infrastructure for large-scale hyperscale and enterprise data center facilities (10MW–500MW+).
This is a senior-level technical leadership role focused on high-density power distribution, redundancy strategy, and Tier III / IV data center design.
Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design for data center projects including:
-
Medium voltage distribution (15kV–35kV)
-
Primary and secondary power systems
-
Redundant UPS configurations (2N, 2N+1, distributed redundant)
-
Emergency diesel generation systems
-
Critical power distribution to IT loads
-
Design power systems from utility interconnection through rack-level PDUs, including:

Switchgear specifications
-
Transformer sizing
-
Bus duct routing
-
Branch circuit distribution
-
Perform:
-
Load analysis
-
Short circuit studies
-
Arc flash analysis
-
Protective device coordination
-
Harmonic distortion assessments
-
Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding systems, lighting design, and raceway layouts for data center environments

Coordinate with utility providers on service entrance, redundant feeds, and capacity planning

Ensure compliance with:

NFPA 70 (NEC)
-
NFPA 75 / 76 / 110
-
IEEE standards
-
Uptime Institute Tier III / IV requirements

State and local codes
-
Oversee construction administration including submittals, RFIs, site observations, commissioning support, and integrated systems testing

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
-
7+ years of electrical engineering experience
-
2–5+ years focused on data center or mission-critical facilities
-
Strong experience with:

480V/277V systems
-
Medium voltage power systems
-
Generator paralleling
-
Automatic transfer switches
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SKM PowerTools (or equivalent)

Experience leading projects exceeding $50M in construction value

Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills
Preferred Experience

Hyperscale (100MW+) data center campuses
-
Uptime Institute standards and ASHRAE TC 9.9 familiarity
-
Renewable energy integration or energy storage systems
-
LEED AP, CEM, RCDD, or Uptime certifications

Government/DOD facility experience
