What You'll Do:
OCC is looking for a Network Engineering Manager to join the team. This dynamic role combines operational and strategic responsibilities, blending technical and managerial duties, including HR direct report, vendor and customer interactions. Key responsibilities include overseeing network service and delivery across various platforms, such as Cisco ACI, Checkpoint, F5 and hybrid LAN/Cloud (AWS) environments. The goal is to ensure the team consistently deliver a high-quality, stable network experience for customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Serve as part of the network management team, overseeing direct reports and coordinating with fellow managers, working together as one team.

Must have
2+ years’ experience successfully managing / leading technical teams.
Understanding of network management, security, monitoring
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Flexible to work on/off shift to meet company, customer and internal requirements
Detailed documentation skill set, including planning, material preparation and public speaking
Clear, concise and precise written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds
Strong interpersonal, leadership, project management and mentoring skills
Strong ability to use solution-oriented approach towards problem resolution
Ability to work independently and be a team player
Demonstrated capability and desire to help manage people, process, systems
Technical Skills:
Must have:
Advanced knowledge of routing protocols, switching, firewalls (BGP, MPLS, ISIS)
4+ years’ experience hands on support and troubleshooting of networks
2+ years’ experience with design and implementation of moderate/complex networks
Experience delivering Infrastructure as code, using and integrating DEVOPS tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python or Github).
Experience building cloud infrastructure in environments such as AWS (preferred), Azure, Google, or similar
Experience using Agile Methodology
Preferred
Experience with SDN deployments or Cisco ACI
Experience with Checkpoint firewalls (on-prep and virtual)
Advanced experience with architecting, designing, deploying, and operating network elements such as DNS/IPAM; Firewalls; Network Access Control Solutions (NAC); load balancing; DDoS mitigation, tapping/sniffing infrastructures; and NTP
Excellent physical communication troubleshooting skills using cabling and signaling analyzer, packet capture and analysis
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field.
Certificates or Licenses:
Preferred
Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP or CCDP) equivalent field experience
AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, Advanced Networking, or Security or equivalent field experience)

Compensation
Salary Range
$123,500.00 - $176,500.00Incentive Range
8% to 15%This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
