Intern, DevOps Engineer [AEC-Connected Infrastructure Engineering]

AutoCAD, the leading software for Computer-Aided Design, is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer intern to join our team to build and support the entire cloud services ecosystem for our various products.

You will be part of a team of DevOps engineers that build, expand, and maintain the multiple cloud solutions for the multi-platform AutoCAD application that serves millions of users. You’ll be working with modern technology stacks, including Python, Django, Java, AWS, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, Graphite/Prometheus, Docker and more.

Responsibilities

• Research and recommend the best approach to solve a given problem

• Take part in the research, design, development, deployment, and monitoring of cross-platform AutoCAD features – bringing a centralized backend perspective to the table

• Adoption of best practices and market-standard technologies and methodologies

• Collaborate with colleagues both inside and outside of the team

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other Engineering disciplines

• Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms

• Understanding & constant curiosity of best practice DevOps and architecture methodologies

• Great programming skills (Python, JavaScript, Node.js,…)

• Knowledge of Docker environments

• Excellent problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently

• Ability to collaborate and communicate well in team environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS-based architecture

• Previous back-end development experience

• Experience with infrastructure as code, configuration management tools and cloud automation

• Experience defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity…)

• You are comfortable working in newly forming ambiguous areas where learning and adaptability are key skills

• You love the exposure to develop scalable cloud service on scalable AWS infrastructure

• You are great at communicating your findings both orally and visually

• You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectually as a member of team with minimal supervision
