Walker Bowen Talent Partners is excited to support this Series A startup in finding their next Full Stack Software Engineer with a core DevOps Engineering skillset.
This is an onsite role in San Francisco and requires a US Greencard or Citizenship and prior experience with a genuine startup in order to be considered.
Who You Are
You might call yourself a platform engineer, an SRE, or just an empathetic developer. You enjoy building the infrastructure around which other fellow engineers can code and spend time thinking about how things scale.
What You'll Be Doing
The one-liner is that you are operating the development team behind the scenes.
- You’ll primarily work on our client's AWS servers and infrastructure, get familiar with the Node.js backend and the Next.js frontend as well as the MongoDB and ClickHouse databases.
- You will be tasked with setting up the code deployments through Github Actions and also manage their Grafana / Prometheus setup.
This role requires you to code Javascript on a daily basis so it is much more than a normal DevOps position you might see in another company.
You will be our silent guardian. A watchful protector. You’ll code just like everyone else but your responsibilities lie beyond the code itself - on how it interacts with the infrastructure.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong AWS experience (EC2, S3, EKS, etc.)
- Proficient coding in JavaSript
- NextJS, NodeJS
- Sufficient knowledge around observability
- Adept at handling scalability challenges
- Experience at a high-growth SaaS startup (Seed - Series C)
- Strong undergraduate degree in Computer Science
