DevOps Engineer Linux

An energetic, pro-active DevOps Engineer with a passion for IT with specialty on infra. In this position you work within a squad in a Product Family of CIO NL. You enjoy working together in a multidisciplinary team and find it important that you can use your own expertise.

You work according to the Scrum methodology and Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices.

As a DevOps Engineer you contribute to realizing the purpose of the squad. You do this by working end-to-end Agile, on the user stories from the Backlog.

Customer perspective is your primary drive to work in a squad.

As an engineer we need you to be highly pro active, someone who gets energy from being the driving force within the team and isn’t afraid to speak up. Receiving and giving feedback is a huge multiplier in being successful.

The team

Your work is an environment where the most important business payment processes are supported with customized Rocket software applications. Together with your colleagues you will help running this IT landscape for the coming years. The functionalities of our applications will move to target in the near future.

Working outside of office hours and/or standby is a required part of keeping the infra stack up and running. Your work location will be in Amsterdam (Hybrid).

Roles and responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer you manage both the conceptual- and the actual implementation phase of applications which includes change-, incident and problem management. You understand and maintain the infra stack where our applications are running on in a Rocket software environment. This environment consists of the Microfocus and HaCloud environment.

The following components are important in this regard:

• In the Product Family structure you are part of an ambitious and driven squad with an Agile approach. You work together with colleagues from other expertise areas and take the initiative to broaden knowledge (inside and outside your expertise) relevant within the Product Family in which you operate.
• You can get all (typical) items of the backlog from 'to do' to 'done'.
• You take up tasks/activities that contribute to the mission wherever possible, even if it does not fall entirely within your area of expertise.
• You keep the infra stack safe, secure and up and running by monitoring, patching, and solving security issues.
• You develop and maintain the full environment to make sure our customers are able to use their applications.
• You support other squads that use the MicroFocus platform for all related topics.
• You are familiar with IT Risk processes and experienced in their implementation, administration, and monitoring.
• You contribute to the development of your squad by actively giving and receiving feedback.
• As an experienced DevOps Engineer, you support others to be successful.
