Your Team
The Engineering Organization is focused on producing software that solves the most important problems facing digital forensics and incident response professionals today. Our algorithms make sense of data that is often hidden, corrupted, or incomplete. We write well-tested, performant code and build intuitive UIs because we know that minutes can make a difference in national terrorism cases and life-or-death situations.
The Magnet Review Team is looking for a talented DevOps engineer to join our growing team, responsible for building the next generation of digital forensics products enhancing collaboration between various stakeholders in the agency org.
You will be part of the team responsible for delivering our SaaS REVIEW solution, driving best practices and improvements related to CI/CD, scaling, optimization, security and more. From there, you will support rolling out REVIEW for FedRAMP. NOTE: Candidates must reside in the United States.

What You Will Accomplish:
· Identify and advocate for improvements across Process, Tools and Architecture, ultimately guiding the teams Roadmap;
· Analyze requirements, break down tasks and estimate effort;
· Participate in code reviews;
· Troubleshoot, debug and fix defects;
· Take initiative, build strong teams and communicate effectively;
· Guide best practices for building, delivering and maintaining multiple source code projects;
· Communication across the product and throughout the organization to share knowledge and build consensus;
· Provide informal and formal mentorship within and outside the team;
· Support compliance efforts for the product;
· Participate in support calls with customer and professional services team for timely resolution of issues.
What We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.
Skills Required:
· 4+ years of experience with Python and/or Go;
· 4+ years of experience patching Linux systems and containers;
· 2+ years of experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters;
· Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (create, debug, maintain, etc.);
· Proficiency using Git based version control systems;
· Proficiency with build tools (We use Jenkins);
· Proficiency with networking design, protocols, and security;
· Proficiency working with an Infrastructure-as-Code first mindset (Terraform, Cloud Formation/CDK, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts);
· Experience working with Cloud Providers (We use AWS);
· Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines;
In addition, may have some of the following skills and experiences:
· Experience working through compliance initiatives (SOC2, FedRAMP, Penetration tests);
· Experience managing relational databases;
· Experience with alerting, observability, and telemetry (Prometheus/Grafana);
· Experience working in high security environments;
· Experience generating effective and efficient project documentation;
· Experience with Argo.

Compensation & Benefits
The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
Compensation Range:
MIN: $104,000 - MID: $130,000 - MAX:$156,000 USD
