Within this role you will be responsible for securing and protecting network systems, applications and data. This includes ensuring the appropriate IT Security controls and processes are in place across Railpen’s IT infrastructure as well as monitoring security logs and responding to incidents, triaging requests and escalating incidents in a timely and effective manner.

The person

We are looking for someone with experience as a Cyber Security Analyst with a solid technical understanding of the security controls needed to protect complex architectural solutions hosted both on-premise and in the Cloud. You will have a strong grasp of security concepts and infrastructure technologies, as well as an appreciation of how new security solutions can impact delivery.

Experience with general security technologies and capabilities including Microsoft E5 technologies such as Azure Sentinel and the various Defender products would be a distinct advantage, as would exposure to automation and familiarity with Python to help streamline processes and support security innovation.

The successful candidate will be comfortable collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and be keen to build effective relationships within the team and cross-functionally to help mitigate risks, develop solutions and help to identify innovative methods to improve IT security across Railpen. You will have excellent communication skills to allow you to deliver technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Having the ability to be proactive and manage multiple priorities at one given time, is key to this role. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a passion for IT Security and a willingness to learn and develop within a complex and exciting environment.

Our values of integrity, community and alignment are the guiding principles that influence our behaviour. They help us make decisions and shape our relationships with others.
