Responsibilities and Impact:
Collaborate with global software development teams to enhance application reliability, performance, and scalability across S&P Global's enterprise data platforms
Provide expert production support and incident resolution, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations
Develop automation solutions using scripting technologies such as Python, shell scripting, or serverless functions to streamline operational processes and reduce manual tasks
Design and implement cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi on AWS platform following industry best practices
Manage database operations and optimization, including both traditional SQL databases and document-oriented database technologies, with exposure to advanced cloud storage solutions
Configure and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting frameworks using tools such as Grafana, PagerDuty, or similar platforms to ensure optimal system health and rapid incident response
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
5+ years of DevOps and Software Engineering experience with proven track record in cloud infrastructure management
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
Proficiency in version control systems such as Git, GitLab, or similar, and CI/CD pipeline technologies including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
Strong database management skills including SQL querying and experience with database technologies (document-oriented databases such as MongoDB, CouchDB, or DynamoDB preferred)
Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions such as Grafana, PagerDuty, Datadog, or similar industry-standard tools
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or containerd, and orchestration platforms including Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or OpenShift
Certifications in document-oriented database technologies such as MongoDB, CouchDB, or AWS DynamoDB, or equivalent NoSQL database expertise
Demonstrated leadership experience in driving cross-functional improvement projects and mentoring team members in a collaborative, global environment
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid -2-3 days onsite a week)
